Hello, my name is Seojoon Kwon, a third-year student studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in AI Applications at USC. My main interests are in electric aircraft propulsion, additive manufacturing, and computer numerical control. Outside of the classroom, I compete with USC Men’s Club Rowing, work as a Residential Assistant for student housing, and love traveling and hiking! Here you'll find my projects, my resume, and more about me.

QPROP | MATLAB | RC Benchmark
As Propulsion Lead for the USC AeroDesign Team, I optimized electric propulsion systems by testing and configuring motors, ESCs, batteries, and propellers, developing MATLAB tools with QPROP and XFOIL to analyze over 100 components, and leading training sessions for 30+ team members.

CAD | GCode | Rhino Grasshopper
I led the design and development of a 4-axis CNC Hotwire Foamcutter for the AeroDesign Team, transforming an inefficient manual process into a precise, automated system now used by multiple engineering teams for complex foam part fabrication, with ongoing improvements including a turntable system and custom GCode generation software.

Composites | 3D Printing | Woodworking
As a Manufacturing Engineer for the USC AeroDesign Team, I dedicated over 100 hours to building and testing our competition aircraft. I helped manufacture over six aircraft and represented the team at the competition in Wichita, KS and Tuscan AZ.

CAD | CNC Gantry | Manufacturing
At the USC Robot Locomotion and Navigation Dynamics Lab, I engineered and programmed CNC systems to create controlled environments for robot leg and mud dynamics testing. I also designed and built custom testing apparatuses using CAD and hardware tools to support multiple ongoing research projects.
